Pass a bookon
Choose a book you loved, write one line inside the cover, and give it to someone who might love it too.
A book read once and shelved is a book waiting. Passing one on is a small, personal way of saying I thought of you.
The steps
Four small steps,in your own time.
Look along your shelves for a book you loved and will not read again soon.
Think of one person who might enjoy it, and why.
Write one line inside the cover: who it is for, why you thought of them, and the date.
Give it to them, or leave it in a little library or swap shelf if there is one near you.
The reason
Why it helps
It turns something you own into something you share. A book with a line from you inside is a small gift that is easy to give and easy to accept. It often starts a conversation later, when they have read it, which is the best part.
A gentle variation
If you have no books to spare, pass on a recommendation instead: the title on a card, and why.
