Sketch a one-pagegetaway
One sheet of paper: where, how you would get there, where you would sleep, and one thing you would do. No booking.
Sometimes the point of a trip is having one to think about. This practice is planning for its own sake, on one page, with no pressure to go.
The steps
Four small steps,in your own time.
Take one sheet of paper. At the top, write a place you would like to go, near or far.
Under it, write how you would get there: train, car, bus, the times if you like looking them up.
Write where you would sleep and what you would eat on the first evening.
Write the one thing you would most like to do there. Keep the page somewhere you will see it.
The reason
Why it helps
Looking forward to something is a pleasure of its own, and it does not depend on going. A single page keeps the plan small enough to enjoy and stops it becoming another task. If a chance to go ever comes, the thinking is already done.
A gentle variation
If a whole page is too much, write only the place and the one thing you would do. Add the rest on another day.

WE · TRIBE
Try itwith someone.
Make the page with someone you would like to go with. Each write your own, then see where they overlap.
Try it today
Take one sheet of paper and sketch a getaway: where, how you would get there, where you would sleep, and one thing you would do. Do not book anything.
