For a business
Root a year where you are.
A tree is a year of people around one family in your town. The roots are the businesses that pay for that year before it starts. This page says what that means, in dollars and in plain words.
Rooted here by your businessOn the outside of the Trees in your ZIP, for K 2027. Never inside them. One business per category, per ZIP, paid once, in advance.
What a root is
Paying in advance is the kindness.
A root is one local business's annual commitment for Tree credits in its own ZIP, not one specific Tree. One business per category, per ZIP, per year. So you are the florist for your ZIP, and no one else is. Trees can open because the roots paid before them.
The payment stands whether or not a Tree opens in the ZIP that year. An unused credit rolls on in that ZIP, for the next family. A root that joins in November or December has the rest of this year included, and its year is the next one.
Never a business that could profit from the family’s illness. We do not root a tree with personal injury or malpractice lawyers, funeral businesses, insurers, hospitals or pharma. That is the whole rule.
Where you are
The band for your place.
Your ZIP code and your category. The price for your place comes back here with the offer.
The Root mark
K 2027: a mark for the year, earned before it began.
The Root mark means this business paid, in advance, for a year of Tree credits in its ZIP, before any of it had happened.
Four roots under a ground line, K and the year above. It says the business funded a year of Tree credits in its ZIP. It does not say the business gave care; care is what the people inside do.
The bands
Three bands, and no others.
A root pays once, up front: a fixed part and a monthly part, counted from the month you pay to December of your year. Pay in January and it counts twelve months. Pay in June and it counts seven. The band belongs to the place, and we tell you yours in writing before you pay.

In writing, before you pay
What you get, and what you never get.
What you get
- The Root markK 2027, from the day you pay: in the window, on the counter, on your site.
- Rooted here byThe line “rooted here by your business” on the outside of the Trees your credits go to in your ZIP, for your year. Never inside them.
- The December reportWhat grew, in numbers. Visits, meals, lifts, hours. Never names.
- An invoiceFor a business service, that begins “underwritten by your business”, so your accountant can read it as what it is.
What you never get
- The familyTheir name, address or anything about their illness.
- A name insideInside the tree, or a message to the circle.
- A thank-youUnless the family chooses to send one.
- A sayIn who sits, who is held, or what is needed.
- A different receiptOne that calls this anything other than what it is: a payment for a business service.
Our side of it
What we will never do.
- Your logo on the familyYour name is on the outside of the tree, in words, and nowhere else.
- Access insideThe inside is a closed circle of people who know the family. You will never see in.
- Data about the familyNot a name, not an address, not a word about their illness. The December report is numbers.
- Your money to the familyIt pays for the year of organising, the software, and the people at the company who keep every tree running. The friends who show up are never paid.
The honest line
Tree of Hope is a paid, private service from Tribe Giving LLC, a for-profit company. It is not a charity and is not affiliated with any hospital, foundation or charity. Money a business pays is never handed to the family; what the family receives is the year of people, and anything a business sends itself, like the flowers.
Your next step
Root a tree in your town.
Your ZIP code and your category are all it takes to see the band, the price, and the trees near you. Nothing is recorded until you send the offer.
