For churches
A church lends its name and its door.
A church is a community with a name people trust and a door they already walk through. A Tree needs a room like that. The church does not pay and is not paid.
Some churches call it ChurchTree. It is the same Tree of Hope, through the church door.
What it means, and what it never means
- You lend your name.
The Tree can be called by it: St Mark’s Tree. Only with your written yes. Any faith, or none, in the words the room would use.
- You lend a door.
The people Kim writes to first are usually yours: whoever asked for help, and whoever leads the room. They share the Tree into their own groups, and that is how the circle forms.
- You lend a date.
The Tree is given on a day, and someone from the front may say so, once.
- No money
The room does not pay and is not paid. Nothing is collected in the room, at the door, or in your name.
- No asking
The room never asks anyone for money and is never asked to. You are the place, not the till.
- No records
We do not take your membership list, your directory, or anyone’s details from you. The circle is built by hand, from people who already know the family.
What you can say
“We are hosting a Tree this year. It is given on the first. If you know the family, there is a seat for you at tree.one.”
Kim prepares every Tree; you share it. Kim is software, not a person, and always says so. How a Tree works
Tree of Hope is a paid, private service from Tribe Giving LLC, a for-profit company. It is not a charity and is not affiliated with any hospital, foundation or charity. Money a business pays is never handed to the family; what the family receives is the year of people, and anything a business sends itself, like the flowers.
