Tree of Hope is a paid, private service from Tribe Giving LLC, a for-profit company. It is not a charity and is not affiliated with any hospital, foundation or charity. Money a business pays is never handed to the family; what the family receives is the year of people, and anything a business sends itself, like the flowers.
What we keep
We keep your name and this address only, so that we can honour your answer, and nothing else.
If you wrote to us, or answered us
Your name and this address, so that we can honour your answer. Nothing else. If you said STOP, we keep a one-way hash of the address, only so that we never write to it again.
If you signed in
Your email address, so the sign-in link has somewhere to go, and a display name if you give one. One cookie keeps you signed in. It is the only cookie there is.
If you took a seat or rooted a tree
Your name, this address, and the record of what you paid, for as long as the law asks us to keep a payment record. Nothing else. We do not keep which seats are held, why you paused, or why you left.
Inside a tree
What the circle writes inside a tree belongs to the family and is not ours to keep. We never ask for a diagnosis or a medical fact. There is no journal or vault yet; when there is, it opens to the family alone. The December report a business receives is numbers only, never a name.
Kim and Ask Kim
Software. What you write to either is sent to the model that drafts the reply and kept in your own history, so you can read it again. Nothing else is done with it.
Never
Never sold, never rented, never shared for anyone’s marketing, never used for advertising, never used to train anything. Deleted when you ask, except the STOP hash and the payment record the law asks us to keep.
